美国亚利桑那州立大学生命科学学院与全球可持续性科学研究所“院长特聘教授”

邬建国,男,博士,教授,现任美国亚利桑那州立大学生命科学学院与全球可持续性科学研究所“院长特聘教授”(Dean’s Distinguished Professor) 。他的研究领域主要包括景观生态学、生物多样性、可持续性科学、生态系统功能和城市生态学。他荣获了许多奖项和荣誉,包括在2007年当选为美国科学促进会(AAAS)会士(Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science)(AAAS),在2019年当选为美国生态学会会士(Ecological Society of America fellow)。自2005年以来,邬建国担任国际刊物《景观生态学》(Landscape Ecology)的主编。

1982年毕业于内蒙古大学生态学专业,获学士学位;
1987年在美国迈阿密大学获得生态学硕士学位;
1991年在美国迈阿密大学获得生态学博士学位
工作经历
1993~1995,在内布拉斯加大学,内华达大学荒漠研究所任助教授;
1995至今,在亚利桑那州立大学受聘为助教授,副教授(1999),正教授(2005),和院长特聘教授(2008)
2003~2010年任亚利桑那州立大学校长办公室中国项目顾问;
北京师范大学985平台特聘教授(2005-2009)。
社会兼职
曾担任美国生态学会亚洲分会主席(1999-2000),美国景观生态学会学术年会主席(2001),美国景观生态学 会常务理事(2001-2004),美国环境保护部生态学项目科学顾问(2004-2005)。自2005年始担任《国际景观生态学报》(Landscape Ecology)主编,以及Landscape and Ecological Engineering、Journal of Integrative Plant Biology、Geographic Information Science、《生态学报》、《植物生态学报》、《生物多样性》和《生态学杂志》等杂志的编委。2007年被选为美国科学促进会会士(AAAS Fellow)。
